Laser Dentistry

Advances in laser technology have greatly impacted dentistry. Procedures that previously required surgery can now be done with with a focused beam of light that targets only intended problematic areas. The end result is much less discomfort and faster healing. Periodontal surgeries have been especially impacted by the introduction of laser.  We continue to find more uses in dentistry for lasers.  Annoying denture sores, canker sores, and mouth ulcers can be treated with a low dose to eliminate discomfort.  Many of these uses can even be done without anesthesia (although, we may recommend it to ensure comfort).  Refer to the video below for  a quick summery of laser while it is used to sculpt gum tissues for a healthier and more appealing smile.
